Garden12: Ron Patterson, "Millbrook" Crystal Creed Road Alexandra |
waiting for description and pics |
'Millbrook' is situated in the Goulburn River Valley on the slightly rising foothills of the Black Range affording lovely views over th valley and benefiting from deep and fertile soils. River lagoons filled with waterlilies give the garden a luxurious atmosphere dappled in shade by the various deciduous, established trees. Notably the giant oak tree is unsurpassed in the district for its size and stateliness. The garden is landscaped around the water features and trees as a natural parkland in the traditional country manner with large areas of lawn broken by curved garden beds in free form. Various exhibits of antique machinery are displayed throughout the garden and the recently installed original water mill offers the delight of running water and an historical perspecitve to the naming of the property. |
