When planting started 16 years ago there
were 6-7 mature trees on this formerly farm
property.Today the gardens extend over 4
acres and includes a rose garden with
magnolias, camellias and azaleas to provide
year-round interest.

Plantings away from the house are primarily
native with deciduous trees providing a
feature. The rhodedendrons are named after
female family members.

The garden boasts a computerised watering
system using bore water to sustain the veggie
garden, orchard and plantings near the house.
