Christopher and Marcia moved to
"Bindaree" in January 1996. They were
captivated by the peace and tranquility of
the property, along with the spectacular
mountain views and the bird life.
The garden had been neglected for many
years with overgrown beds, ivy and
blackberry taking over what was once a
beautiful landscaped native garden.
Fourteen years on, with Marcia's love of
gardening, colour and design, the garden
grows each day. The garden now has over
twelve thousand bulbs, a sustainable
vegetable and herb garden, along with a
lavender walk that leads you to the
orchard.
Since 2006, the white/ back garden has
become a tranquil oasis and with the new
deck, a place to sit back and take in the
views.
The new additions for 2010 (work in
progress) will include a tapestry of shrubs
either side of the "Stair way to Heaven"
and the beginnings of a Japanese inspired
garden on the old tennis court in front of
the new garages.
